Life has been pretty busy recently and I think it’s been like a month of more since I was here... maybe 2?
Well only busy because I've chosen to be busy - which I love - being a poverty stricken workaholic.
Partly the problem is making Squidoo lenses which has been taking up a lot of my time recently. I love making lenses but today I'm in a bit of a cranky mood with my lenses- too much of a good thing. Do you think I should say the word "lenses" a bit more?
As soon as I got back from holiday I started making lenses based on the stuff I’d done. Like going to the Tower of London (my first visit there) and Hampton Court (are you getting the Tudor theme here?) and then staying with my awesome Rachel twin. There's a whole heap of what Rachel did in London right here.
"What I expected the Tower of London to look like" doodle:

Then I got obsessed with making crazy doodles on scrappy bits of paper with cheap biros- seriously- good quality paper and pens do not make good doodles- it has to be something that has something printed on the back. Recently I've been going through old folders from my degree and doodling on the back of those. Seriously do I need all my notes on my Oh Brother Where Art Thou essay anyway? For some reason back then I thought it was a good idea to print off half the Internet too- but that's OK, prints were free in the library *guilty look*.
Going away for 13 (?) days kind of befuddled me when I got back. I still haven’t really got back in to checking twitter and using the bookmarking sites I used to use daily. I guess my head is still on holiday and I’m about to go away again so that doesn’t really help matters.
And I really hate it when LJ ppl just drop off the map (whatever that phrase is) and yet I’ve become one of them. So I'm putting my foot down and today I am posting this entry (also thanks to a post Tricia made about ppl disappearing too).
Last week I made a fake Craft stall in my studio space:

This is what happens when you spend too much time on your own.
I've been working on a Frida Kahlo project which involves trying to recreate her paintings in textiles. This is a background I'm working on for one pic:

I'm hoping to make a cool lens on Frida but it's going to take me a while at this rate.
So soon I'm off to Cornwall so I've been making daft doodles about that too:

There's a whole heap more I could say but I think I will save it for another day.
Try to promise not to leave it so long again *squeezes journal lovingly*

Hey, are you in the squidoo-promo community here? I just joined and posted an entry. Don't know if it will bring much traffic but, worth a try I guess.
